He lives and thrives as a con artist that does what he wants when he wants, with an insatiable hunger that always lusts for more to fill the emotional void within him.

A scheming, sly individual who is not afraid to say whatever he needs to get his way with people. He is known for being two-faced and a notorious liar as he'll come up with whatever story, name, or background suits him in the moment. His emotions, especially his anger, always get the better of him and he'll often act on impulse and easily take lives if it makes him feel more secure. Deep down he is hurt and confused, often feeling like he cannot allow anyone to see his weakness. As a captain he is fearless and commanding and acts with care for the lives of his crew though the relationship is strictly business.

A capable red mage, though where he learned such magic or sword play he'll never tell truthfully. He is an expert in combat especially if it is under-handed or dirty and even if he is disarmed he'll always have a gun or knife somewhere on him to pull out at any moment. He takes no issue in harming others even if he has no intent to kill them; his healing is as capable as his combat and he's been known to drive people to the brink of death only to drag them back to life again. Also an exceptional actor and culinarian.

■ The Past
Born to the Shroud shortly after his twin brother Kiht'a, his childhood is mostly a blur as he and many others of their family were kidnapped away by pirates. No matter what hardships they went through, the brothers had each other until they were eventually separated into different trade routes. While Kiht'a was rescued by Maelstrom, Kiht'to fell into the clutches of a pirate crew where a cruel captain took a liking to his defiant spirit. For many moons he spent under the harsh treatment as the captain's personal pet until one night he decided to take matters into his own hands—in the midst of nightly rituals he murdered the captain and informed the crew that the ship would be under his control. The crew, who had gradually taken a liking to him after his careful laid out interactions to gain their favor, took no issue with this and only asked what to call him. "Captain Keaton," was his only response as he tossed his old name aside and became the mysterious captain of a crew known to the seas as The Whispering Bones. His crew and his ship remain shrouded in mystery, rumored to be a ghost ship as it is only heard of but never seen while their criminal acts do not go unnoticed.
Keaton kept up the business of kidnapping people to sell while also stealing from whoever he can; his philosophy being that the world will always hurt you unless you be the bad force in control. He offers a place on his crew to those he deems worthy, with those of his past being held in favor as he hopes they too will seize hold of their fate as he did. Each and every one has rejected him and his way of life, to which he responds by killing them to show proof that they chose to be a victim.

Recently he was reunited with his twin brother, who also received the invitation to join his crew but instead politely declined. For once in his life Keaton could not find himself able to kill someone and instead has made it his business to convince his brother by destroying everything around him until he has no where else to go but Keaton's awaiting embrace.

■ The Whispering Bones
Keaton's pirate background is surprisingly not one of his things he speaks of often, as he likes to keep that business secret. If his ears ever catch someone seeking information on his ship or his crew, he likes to listen in on what others may think or wonder and often misdirects them or drags them directly into his crimes. Sometimes he just wants to hear others admire or fear him unknowingly.
■ "Haven't I seen you before?"
As a man of many faces, many names, and many made-up professions, he's something of a background character that people may faintly recall seeing or hearing of elsewhere. It isn't unusual for someone to say they remember him from somewhere but don't seem to recall. It makes no difference to him; he'll masterfully write a story on the spot that suits him to weave into whatever scheme he's up to in the moment.
■ Shady Business
While keeping most of his background completely secret, if someone is looking for trouble or any business of the unsavory kind he will be the man to take the job. Nothing is beneath him so long as there is a price attached, whether that price be paid in coin, blood, or something else of value.
■ A Night to Remember
Certainly no stranger to fake warming himself up to others; if you catch his eye Keaton won't hesitate to make the move of offering himself into a more personal, intimate atmosphere with someone if he thinks it will help him acquire delicate information, business deals, or simply help him secure a person of interest. If you're interested in being a target, something can certainly be arranged.
